- Heliopan’s premier 46mm Orange Glass Filter is primarily used for black and white film. Ideal for outdoor shooting, the Orange Glass Filter strongly darkens blue and green values, increases overall contrast and decreases atmospheric haze. Interestingly, the filter can also be used for portraitures to smooth skin tones and blemishes. Filter Factor: Approximately 4x (+2 Stops).
- Constructed from the highest German Schott Optics, which guarantees incredible optical resolution. Our glass is specially ground and polished to minimize internal reflections, while ensuring that the quality of your images are not degraded by using our optics in front of your lens. It is also specially hardened to resist most impacts.
- Our standard 8-Layer Multi-Coating minimizes reflections and does not interfere with the resolution of your camera optics.
- Our precision cut brass ring ensures a secure and sturdy fit, are more resistant to side impacts, and less likely to bind or cross-thread after extended use.

The Heliopan 46mm Orange Glass Filter for Black and White Film is used for producing contrast effects that darken sky and water, as in more dramatic architectural photography. This filter will also suppress blue. It makes clouds stand out even more than a #15 Yellow filter when shooting against a blue sky. Distant horizons will look even clearer.
