- Heliopan’s premier 49mm Green Glass Filter is primarily used to bump up contrast and tonality on black and white films. The green filter slightly darkens skies, helps cut through haze, and increases overall contrast. It is one of the most common contrast filter used for black and white photography, producing an accurate tonal range and compensating for blue sensitivity of panchromatic film. Filter Factor: 3 (+1.5 Stop).

The Heliopan 49mm #13 Green Filter is commonly used for a noticeable increase in contrast with black and white films. Yellow, orange and red filters generally control contrast in black and white flat images with red producing the greatest contrast. Moderate changes can be accomplished with yellow, which can generally bump up the contrast just enough to make the difference between a "muddy" print and an acceptable image.
