There are some minor flaws we should point out: The focus ring moves with an acceptable two fingers. That said, Nikon lenses should move with one, so if you wish your lens to feel new again, a re-lubrication would be helpful. There are two tiny threads of fungus on the periphery of the internal lens glass. They are very small and thin and cover less than .005% of the glass. You really have to stare just to find them. The many pictures shot with this lens prove that they do not interfere with the image at all. That said, you should keep this - and all lenses really- cool and dry to discourage fungal growth. There are a couple of tiny cleaning marks on the glass - again having no impact on photos. There is also an area where the black paint is worn away on the exterior of the lens hood. It has been "sharpied" over to blacken it. There is no haze in this lens and there is no oil on the aperture blades. The aperture is super-snappy
